Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc. (HFHBC) is an inter-denominational Christian housing organization whose goal is to eliminate poverty housing from within Benton County and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience as well as action. Besides building houses, HFHBC helps to build relationships with its partners and the community that result in a sense of belonging.
All of these homes will be “eco-friendly”—that is, they will be more energy efficient, environmentally sound and affordable, resulting in significant savings to the homeowners. It is the intention of Habitat to uphold four main objectives.
Strengthen relationships with key partners and potential partners, including congregations throughout the county, businesses, individuals, foundations and organizations
Empower selected families to become successful home owners and members of the community
Develop a county-wide base of applicants, churches, mentors, and volunteers to provide support to one another to increase home ownership among the working low-to-middle income families
Assist in eliminating poverty housing within Benton County one family at a time
