If you’re interested in owning a home through Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, there are five key criteria that need to be met:

You must have a need for adequate housing

Ability to pay

3.

A willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc

4.

Must have lived or worked in Benton County for one year

5.

Meet the household income guideline requirements

Application Steps

If you meet the above criteria, please follow the six steps below:

1. Application

Contact Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc. to pick up an application or have one mailed to you.

 

2. Credit Review

You will be requested to contact Credit Counseling of Arkansas and make an appointment for a credit review. The services are free.

3. Financial Services

As a potential homeowner with Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc., financial services will be made available to you at Summit Wealth Management. You will be requested to set up an appointment with Summit Wealth Management to review your credit report and work on budgeting

4. Signature & Date

Application must be filled out completely, signed and dated. Co-applicants must also sign and date the application.

5. Copies, no Originals

Include all additional information requested (copies, not originals).

6. Submission

Must leave a telephone/contact number and e-mail address, where you can be reached. If you have questions, please call the Habitat office at 479-273-3638 ext. 124. Once you have completed and submitted the application and the loan originator determines you qualify financially, then the loan originator will contact you to explain the process.

You must return all requested information with your application. Any information not submitted will delay the process.

The application process can take 6 months or longer.
